Hi, I’m Candice!
I’m a Christian wife and mother of five (soon to be 6!), teacher, and health coach.
My health journey began almost 20 years ago when I read a popular book that opened my eyes to the harmful ingredients found in our foods. It led to a change in my eating habits and health goals, which drastically improved how I felt. As I began to have children, and the demands of life increased, my exhaustion increased as well. For a while, I believed it just came with the territory and was a part of motherhood. After all, that’s what my doctors said. But deep down, I knew this wasn’t right. God didn’t give us our bodies and create us to be mothers who felt awful all the time!
The Internet has a LOT of opinions about nutrition and wellness.
I went through tons of different health and nutrition trends over the years, and I usually found short-term success. I learned a lot a long the way. However, none of the trends and diets I tried were actually sustainable—especially for a busy mom with a growing family.
It wasn’t until I let go of the latest fad diets and took a break from the overwhelming and often conflicting nutrition world that I saw an increase in my energy and how I felt overall. I focused on my body, paying attention to how I really felt when I ate certain foods, and starting finding recipes and grocery staples that were practical and realistic. Once I discovered that I could eat in a way that worked for my lifestyle and helped me to feel my best, I found so much joy!
When you find something great, you want to share it. I decided to pursue my health coach certification so that I could share my knowledge and passion for helping other women just like me to feel their best and in turn be their best for the ones they love.
My philosophy is a client-centered approach. My “4M” Process focuses on Meals, Mindset, Movement, and Maintenance. Unlike pointing people to fad diets focused on immediate results, I help busy moms reclaim their wellness using small, sustainable changes, realistic whole food nutrition, and simple time-saving strategies.
